is it better to get married or date at a young age?

24? The world is just beginning. It may feel awkward because you haven't done so, but much better to date at a young age. Some people appear to be one way, but after dating for awhile that they are not. Some flaws/issues manifest after a while. Better to find out before saying "I do"....

No one is perfect. But there some things that you might not be able to accept or put up with. Conversely, there may be somethings about you that another person might find it difficult to live with as well.

You sort of have to let it happen. Dating or worse yet marrying because you think it's what your age says you should do is a recipe for unhappiness. Meet somebody you like first, go on from there.

I was married at 22. Our son was born when we were 29. We were divorced when he was seven. I've discussed the reason on here many times. I made her a batch of cookies for when she comes out to the farm tomorrow to bury her cat.

I would definitely recommend dating a handful of times. If I hadn’t I wouldn’t be the person I am today. And honestly, the old me was an emotional wreck.
