No. Who we are attracted to is part of our own genetic make up. We all have a “type”. That said, it’s never wrong to try dating someone outside of your “type”

I will date whoever I damn well please.
I am not going to be guilt tripped into dating anyone I don't like.

I used to be really selective. But a friend (my old church leader from univ) encouraged me to give it a go. I reckon she may be right. So now I'm saying yes to opportunities, even to those I only like as friends. We'll see what happens.
