When I was younger I would pay but now for equality it is Dutch.
For equality? 🙄😑 @SAandME

@Spoiledbrat Yes do not want to offend, had my head bitten off too many times just for holding a door open for a woman. Equal rights for women = go Dutch on a date, right?.
Equal rights is something else completely. @SAandME

@Spoiledbrat That is as maybe but as I man I also deserve to be treated equal and not be EXPECTED to pay on a date, why should I the woman has a good chance of earning more than I do.
What does who pays the bill have anything to do with equality? @SAandME
SAandME · 56-60, M
@Spoiledbrat equality - the state of being equal, a symbolic expression of the fact that two quantities are equal. Dutch, go go Dutch [for each person in a pair or a group] to pay for himself or herself i.e. an equal split of the bill.
I know what going Dutch means but that’s not what equality means.

@Spoiledbrat equality - the state of being equal. If the man is expected to pay for a date that is not equality. Also give me one good reason why a man should pay. Amazing how with women equality only means being equal in things where they are though of as lesser, equal means equal right down to the small details 50/50 not 51/49.
No one said you had to. You’ve never had to. @SAandME

@Spoiledbrat great so back to my original answer then, dutch to keep things equal.
I honestly don’t know what you mean. Women want to get paid for doing the same job. They want equal opportunities. That was my gripe. @SAandME
SAandME · 56-60, M
@Spoiledbrat And so they should
Here we go again. @SAandME
SAandME · 56-60, M
@Spoiledbrat Ok i will rephrase my answer for you, no a gentleman should not pay
Tarxarin · 31-35, M
@Spoiledbrat Not to get involved in any kind of arguement here.

I just want to say many feminists where i am from look at you funny for holding the door open for them.

But i can count those people on one hand.
Yes they should especially when they take you somewhere because they want to. @SAandME
I hold the door open for everyone. @Tarxarin
SAandME · 56-60, M
@Spoiledbrat because THEY want to, bit of advice get out of the dictatorial relationship if it is like that or stand up and say i don't want to go.
I don’t know what you’re talking about.
Why did you pay when you were younger. Did you feel like you had to? @Spoiledbrat
SAandME · 56-60, M
@Spoiledbrat Not HAD to but was EXPECTED too, which i did not mind in the slightest it was how things were then. There was no debating it, the woman did not question it, i did not think about it you just did it.
But now you’re like screw that. You had a change of heart apparently because if you didn’t you’d still be paying. @SAandME
SAandME · 56-60, M
@Spoiledbrat And that is because women started to give me an ear full saying they are quite capable of paying themselves so to save on the hassle it became easier to go dutch.
