Trust your gut instincts or trust the person’s word?

An acquaintance of mine (20 or so years older than me) told me to visit him at his hotel room and promised that he would be a gentleman. I refused because my gut instinct told me so.

What would you do in such a situation 🤔

He has to earn your trust... You made the right decision...

i trust him to an extent but in the back of my mind I feel he will coerce me into doing something that I will regret later. This happened last year with the same person (he promised to be a “gentleman” but then later he said “things just happened”). I’m glad I made this decision this time - May not hear from him again though.

@solitaire you were very wise in your decision...

Thank you. I’m learning many things late in life. Sometimes loneliness clouds my judgment but this time I’m glad I didn’t do something regretful
