How can you get rid of a crush?

I have been at this thing (not gonna describe it much) and there is one girl I've been talking to (as friends). I realized today that my feelings are stronger than friendship. I didn't tell her, out of fear. For some reason, having these feelings towards her feels wrong.

@firefall I don't know why. Maybe because I don't know if she likes girls and also she is about 8 years older than me.

@fluteacorn Oh. The age gap could be a problem, I can see that. As for whether she likes girls, that's .... always a roll of the dice, but a polite inquiry should be acceptable in either case
