Am I overreacting?

I’ve been talking to a guy for almost two weeks now but we’re not at the dating stage, just getting to know each other. Everything was fine at the beginning, we texted a lot as well as talked on the phone for long hours. Last weekend he got so busy with work, mother’s day and a birthday party which I understand but ever since then we haven’t been communicating much. He’s the one who asked to take me out and spend time with him. He seems like a great guy and everything it’s just the lack of communication which scares me and makes me think we won’t get any further. I just asked him if he really wants to take me out.

Now that I think about it I should’ve waited a few days or so to see if he would message me but do you guys think it was ok for me to do so?

@St0ut Sometimes real life gets in the way of what we want... It's all very well to romanticise relationships by 'making someone your priority' but they have only known each other a fortnight. It's a little early to be declaring her 'the one' and pushing all else aside for her. They should at least date first before putting undue pressure on the guy (who make very well have perfectly good reasons for being busy this week)... That's one sure fire way to make a guy run for the hills, however 'right' he is.
