How would you get rid of your feelings for someone?

I am not inlove with him even tho I love him and he loves me so much. He is not inlove with me and probably never will...it doesn't bother me sometimes, but there are times when it does, it hit me hard and I mean hard... I don't want to lose him but I can't continue hurting myself.
