People are like dogs: the only time they're friendly is when they want something from you, like food, some fun, or being petted. If you want friends you pretty much have to be okay with being used. A comedian for one, a counselor for another, a banker for the next one, sex, companionship - if you're lucky you'll find someone who gives some of the same stuff back when you wag your tail;)
