Whatever happened to the butterflies?

Back in elementary and middle school and even in high school if there was a boy I had a crush on, I'd get that butterfly feeling in the pit of my stomach where I'm so scared, embarassed, nervous, I could feel myself blushing...I hadn't felt those same "butterflies" in years. Do they just go away as we get older? I kinda miss the innocent feeling of it.
