A potential date that never messages first

So, met this woman on a dating app. Seems cool, though occasionally standoffish. Seem to be some sparks between us when we message each other.

I asked her last week if she'd like to meet sometime, she said sure, maybe next week.

Thing is, I am always the one initiating contact. I thought to myself that I should wait for her to contact me this time with regard to setting a date to meet up. Here we are on Friday, and nothing.

My mind is telling me that it's not worth pursuing the matter by breaking my own "rule" and sending her a message asking if she's still up for a date.

Should I trust that instinct of mine?
