once in a while I lie something similar too
But my situation is more about those moments where 'I wanna be left alone for today'.
I can just say I don't wanna talk to her but it either becomes sort of a drama or she just feels insecure

@PaleandPolluted do the same to him, just once in your life try switching roles and see how would he react then tell him that you wanted him to feel what you felt and close the line on his face if he kept calling only to shout at you then he is not worth worrying about but if he admits his mistakes and he is sorry then you know he is attached to you..
