Are you, or were you at one time, damaged goods?

Baggage aside, I'm talking about something that left long-term psychological damage.

What happened?

What have you done, or had to do, to recover?

Was 'recovery' ever even possible?

I’m recovering right now and am doing better, but yeah, life fucked me from ages 15-18. Family tragedies, drug addiction, being hospitalized, losing all my close friends, attempting suicide 3 times....I remember I’d tell my mom how I doubted I’d even make it to age 30 because I just felt so worn out and just wanted to throw in the towel.

@Insomniac100 That you're working through recovering and starting to feel better for it is such a blessing. I hope and I'm sure your mom knows how lucky she is to have you still, especially with everything that you have been through in recent years.
