What does the term "bae" mean to you?

Some people says in means something in particular, but in my opinion people use that term for different reason it's not just one set thing. It's also possible that (even though I don't understand it) that it's just a shorter way of saying babe/baby. What do you think? What does it mean to you when someone call you this or when you call someone this? Just curious.

I always took at as short for "babe" as well. To me it is just an indicator that the person saying it is probably someone who would annoy me, though. It's right up there with "baby momma/daddy" on the hierarchy of terrible-sounding terms to describe a relationship.

This is how I interpret it. I don't mind it and I don't care. Most people that I see use it are using it ironically anyway.

@GlitterBug I saw that online recently. But I mean I don't think everyone knows that to be fair. It's a trend that someone started, but yeah... I see what you mean cause when I saw what it meant I kind of see it that way now.

bae has been slang for baby or babe, but it is actually means sh*t in danish I believe. but if someone calls me that, then I would be like "do not say this to me again please"
