Should a couple wait until marriage to be intimate?

I personally don't think that is necessary, but I am posting this question because someone else posted it before but deleted it. The original poster of this question may answer, it won't be deleted this time.

I don't think so. That's pretty much of a religion-related thing, and I don't have a religious bone in my body.

@Spoiledbrat Religion, at least Christianity, says people aren't supposed to have sex outside of marriage.
