Do you have a thing for a specific race? (or culture, or country)

Let's say caucasian, latin, asian, etc.

Am I a racist ? No...

How is that being racist? You might find attractive people who wear earrings or have colored hair or have short or long hair. The whole race things makes it even richer because it brings a whole culture with it. Even the accents and the voice tones change with the race no matter where you are living or what country are you a part of. You get the right to say what you find beautiful even if that doesn't include all the individuals.

It doesn't mean you don't like other races. But in my case I tend to like middle eastern people since they have thick eyebrows and full beards which I like.
@CrazyCatLady: "By race" means by race. Racism is defined as "the belief that all members of each race possess characteristics or abilities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races". Which IS kind of what you're asking in terms of "preferences". And accents and voice tones fall more in the category of nationality or even ethnicity, not necessarily race. A long explanation, but you did ask.

Absolutely no one is talking about superiority. But I can see why you could be confused. Is way more especific to ask for a preference regarding nationalities. Races do share many physicall features and liguistic characteristics. A preference doesn't make somethine superior or inferior. In my case, I am bisexual, but If I were not, I wouldn't be discriminating the other gender.
That's dumb.
@CrazyCatLady: It's not a comparable analogy. All races have both genders, after all. In any case, you asked the question, I replied, you asked for clarification on my opinion, I provided it. That's it.

It is comparable, because you have the right to like or prefer whatever you want. Otherwise everytime someone friendzones someone, they could be discriminating, you have the right to like fat, tall, short, white, black, males, or females.

The race is a very interesting subject to analyze. I've traveled around the globe and I realized how people from certain countries have "a thing" as I called, for races that don't look like them at all. Women in Japan have a thing for white guys. When I was in China, many of the guys I talked to told me how much they liked the rounded eyes and how attractive latinas were for them because of the thick lips. In South Mexico recently started a boom where girls are into korean guys, because of their delicate features and their personal care (like using make up and stuff).

This is how biology and natural selection work, we should mix with people that are opposite to us to create stronger, better human beings.

That's why I am asking this, so stop the non sense. Keep that sensitivity for a situation where you actually need it.

@CrazyCatLady: I don't know what post you deleted, but you asked the question. I answered it honestly, and I can't help if my reply makes you uncomfortable, it's not a pretty reality. There is nothing "nonsensical" about the fact that some groups have been so affected by Eurocentric beauty standards that they destroy their skin with bleaching creams, spend a fortune on plastic surgery, hair treatments and synthetics, and reject partners who look like themselves, all in an attempt to achieve some artificial ideal. It is based upon racism, at its root. People don't think they are "good enough", and it is race based, no matter how you slice it.

You get the right to like whoever you want based on whatever you want.

Deal with that.
@CrazyCatLady: You do. And it often reveals something, under the surface. Deal with that.

@bijouxbroussard: lol you are just so sweet, thanks for following all I do, I now know you have a thing for me, thanks to this. 😘

Now go call the lesbian, gay and straight sexist for not wanting to fu*ck with the other gender.

Oh and please report my post ;)
@CrazyCatLady: I'm not reporting your post, calm down and grow up. I've already explained to you why sexual orientation is not the same thing. I actually found this again because I forgot to stop getting notifications on it, or mute you. I thought that occasionally on other topics, you make sense. My error. Bye, now.
