She loves me, but only when she's drunk?

That girl I've been dating (I guess) for a while now has sent me a lot of drunk voice messages before, telling me how cute I was and calling me her "almost boyfriend" in front of her friends, and last week at her birthday party she got drunk once again, became really affectionate and even kissed me. When she's sober however, she doesn't really seem all that interested in me, has made it clear that she isn't ready for a relationship yet and doesn't want to be more than friends...

Hey, a woman here giving you my story from a swapped genders POV. (also, OP, please try to ignore a few of these misogynistic replies above).

A good friend of mine acted similarly to me. We connected very deeply and often kissed but only ever after he had a few drinks. It started to mess with my head and I built it up to be something it wasn't. I imagined a relationship with this guy even though he was totally wrong for me. I was blinded by the affection that I was shown in the moment and mistook it for him taking a deep investment in me. My advice? Try and shut down the drunken affection. Explain that it upsets you when she only shows interest in you when she's drunk and let her know that you'd be interested in talking it out when your both sober. I wish I would have done this, and I wish I would have listened to my friends when they told me to do it too. Good luck, bud!
