Tell him something you like about him. Example: "I really like the way you spoke up in class and said what you thought about that book."

You're assuming it's someone Jennifer already knows, greenmountaingal - I assumed it was a guy she's just seen around the neighbourhood....

Well..
"I really admire the way you run every morning rain or shine..." Or "You are always helping your family mow the lawn or trim the shrubs, they must like the way you're willing to help."
Just any way of saying she likes something about him.
