How many women do you know that actually ask men out, instead of waiting for the men to ask them out?

Personally, I think it's very sad that women are more inclined to write off a man they are interested in just because they lack the courage to pursue somebody and just because he might not gravitate toward them right away. The fact that there is margin for disappointment and embarrassment if the person of interest says "no" is true for both sexes, not just one, so in my book, that isn't much of an excuse for women being this way.
