How long should you wait before giving up on a guy and moving on?

I talked to this guy online who I started to like. He was the one who messaged me first. We got on well. I gave him my number and said he will message me soon to meet up. We don't live far away from each other. It's been almost a week and he hasn't texted me. Should I just move on?

@adhane05 as you're a guy haha would a guy agree to hang out with you if he wasn't genuine and wasn't interested in you? He said he wanted to when easily if he wasn't interested he could of ignored me since it's online and he said I have your number I'll message you soon to go out and that was a week ago.

I would agree to hang out if he seemed genuine. It's possible he may be nervous and he is working up the courage to ask.
