How long should you wait before giving up on a guy and moving on?

I talked to this guy online who I started to like. He was the one who messaged me first. We got on well. I gave him my number and said he will message me soon to meet up. We don't live far away from each other. It's been almost a week and he hasn't texted me. Should I just move on?

@SW-User I was thinking of giving it another week. I told him I liked him and he said he wouldn't of responded back if there wasn't any interest in me and he seemed really genuine. So I'm a bit disappointed he hasn't texted me yet to meet up.
