@JovialPlutonian Trust is a difficult thing to give. And it does need to be earned. But, if you close yourself off for fear of getting hurt, you'll only end up hurting yourself in the end. It's unwise to trust all of your heart, all at once, to someone. But, you can start very small, and allow people to show you whether they are trustworthy or not, over time.
It's hard to risk getting hurt when you've been hurt so badly in the past. And relationships DO hurt, because we all let each other down at some point. The trick is to find those who make the rest of the time worth it. Best wishes. ☺
