@MakeAspirit yes it can be like that. Especially if you have a mental illness too. I had depression and at 10 I had episodes were I Wished I was dead but That didn’t last long as I was happy on most days expect school days. I did get them thoughts a lot at 13 and at 14 I thought sucide was an option.
