I called my ex after a 3 month breakup please dont give up reading x

He spoke to me he was ok but kept reminding me that it was me that split with him. Then after me trying to sort things out between us he told me he had met and slept with someone two weeks ago and is dating her. I told him I still loved him and wanted him back. He said it's not that easy & I get it.... but i felt he didn't want me thats why I split with him. He's turned the table and said I should have called sooner I did but he didn't say he wanted me back. The call ended with him saying he would call me tomorrow night. I'm scared to pick up the phone because he may choose to keep dating the new woman. I get the ferling he's playing with my emotions. This is the short version sorry.

@SW-User He says he needs time to think things over. I said 6years v 2 weeks & He said it's because he doesn't want to risk another breakup with me. I came straight on here after I spoke to him. I'm still trying to figure it all out. He was acting like he was sad and saying if I had said something sooner he thought it was all over. I was in hospital for 3 weeks when we split. I'm starting to think he was acting.
