It’s called ‘Negging’ and my ex crush fell for it from another guy ... broke my heart because I thought she was emotionally smart but I guess not.

No she was a coworker/female friend I had a crush on but she left her long term (years) boyfriend for him and even got an std because of that negger she felt stupid of course but my point is she was a ongoing university student working on her bachelors in science so I thought she was smart @MethDozer
