Do you believe that marriage works?

I don't! My parents will be married for 20 years next year and I swear their marriage only works when my dad works away and is only home on the weekends. It's a toxic relationship and I think they'll never break it off because they both seem to be afraid of being alone

@LyricalOne I believe it could work for people that believe in marriage. It's just that I've had a bad role models for marriage. I've even seen my dad pull a gun on mon then hit her with the bunt. Neighbors heard and called police and when they arrived she didn't want to press charges

@millennialgrandpa That’s really horrible. I’m very sorry you- and your mom- had to experience it. There’s absolutely no excuse for domestic violence and if anything, you’ve had an example of what a marriage SHOULD NOT look like.
