I won't say, "Don't do it." But I will say, consider not "pouring your heart out" to him. Tell him how you feel a bit at a time to see how he reacts. If he is not entirely comfortable about it, that gives you a chance to wait and see what he has to say once you've made it clear you are interested. Good luck.
