@Peaceful I was kind of in shock at first abd didn’t know really what to say. My heart was breaking for him. I tried to remind him that his dad loves him very much, and that he has to work to be able to make sure he is taken care of, then I told him that his dad would be picking him up this weekend. Luckily his visits are, for now, becoming more consistent. 😕

@NewBeginnings7790 maybe share this with dad as well so you are both on the same page as far as his needs.

@Peaceful I will try reminding him again but his dad has always been pretty flighty. Things have been better for the last few months or so, which is good because sometimes it can get really hard always being perceived as the bad guy yet trying to sticking up for him for the sake of the kids. I’m hoping he has changed in the last few months and the stability will last more than just 6 months.

@NewBeginnings7790 I'm not sure how you approach him with this stuff. I'm also not sure how dad is coping with all this. But this little boy is clearly in need of feeling secure with a male energy. Perhaps the dad can't or won't hear you for his own reasons, I would just tell you're son that you are there for him no matter what and the next man that comes into your life will need your son's ok of approval. That should help him feel empowered. I'm sorry you are in this situation, but it sounds like you're a really great momma.
