I listen to message after message from her...she's abusive to him and myself. I talk her down when she's going to give up on life, I'm supposed to hook up her tv tomorrow. . I paid her cable bill. He asks me to calm her down. He says he's done with her.

I say, make a choice. . Her or me.
I have a home, a son... I'd like you to be here... but the door is WIDE open.

I believe that he feels if it doesn't work out for us, he can always go back to her... and he doesn't want to burn that bridge.

Probably true...he's keeping every option open and trying to get what he wants/needs from both of you. Not very authentic of him though.

Not at all. . He's a damned fool... but it's his own choice.
