What does it mean when a guy talks about his wife and says "She is 6 years older then I am?"

Then he is what? I'm not mentioning any names, but one guy on here said that and he won't explain the meaning of his unfinished sentence.

Some people don't always know the correct words to use, or they sometimes absent-mindedly type things wrong. He probably doesn't even realize his mistake.

While I don't have proof of this, I'm sure that that's what happened.

When I looked at the post, I saw that this was a good friend of mine. I'm sure that he wouldn't purposely try to confuse you. He's not the kind of person who would do that.

@Bootsiebaby Thanks for giving him the benefit of the doubt. :)

I don't know why he didn't understand what you were getting at. The only reason I can think of is that he didn't think to look back at what he had typed, or he didn't realize that it was incorrect.

As for how he could confuse those words, I can't say for sure, except that perhaps he had heard others use the word "then" when they meant "than" from an early age, and so it seemed right to him. Again, I don't know this for a fact, as I haven't asked him, but that could explain it. It could have become a habit, one that was learned from his elders. That would be my best guess. 🤷‍♀️
