Cos in Asian countries...mainly India...its rich in culture , customs and traditions... Most brides...90% , live with their folks till the day they married.... its like leaving your family for ever and walking into a new one... its the fright of the unknown, risk ... uncertainness ...knowing ur moving from the place u trust the most !
And this part is built into the psyche of the bride as well as her mother...and her family :)
Hope this sum's up most of it !

The wedding is often a stressful and emotional event, for both bride and groom but it hits brides harder...it's that way in most all cultures. There are many cultures though where the Bride is extremely stressed and emotional because she is practically being forced to marry a man she doesn't love and probably doesn't even know...it is like being sent to prison for the rest of her life.

The feeling of being overwhelmed may be more pronounced there, since i can only speculate, i'll leave it at that.

Soyoungrightnow · 36-40, M
@revenant Did you ever see Asian marriage?
revenant · F
@Soyoungrightnow which kind of asian though ? I was told that it was the custom anyway
Soyoungrightnow · 36-40, M

@Soyoungrightnow It was a joke...

@kimmy159 Ok. You like jokes. I don’t mind.

@Soyoungrightnow In a lot of Asian countries, it's still tradition that you have to serve the family and your parents in law when you get married as an Asian woman. In my mind that seems like no life at all (hence the joke "life is over")

Mostly because theyre supposed to. Once it was out of misery and heart felt sorry that through an arranged marriage they were stuck with some lecturous chump for the rest of thier lives. Now they say it's happiness, that would suggest to me they are deluded and they hadn't thought it through!

@SW-User So you know how some Asians get married especially in Muslim culture? They do thinks like temporary tattoo on their hand and other such?
see what i mean? This is why i said it's something that only asian understand
Only this kind of answer you'd get from western people

@YukikoAmagi OK.
This is something that people can't answer unless they're asian
WatercolourWildFlowers · 51-55, F
I was recently at a wedding, the bride cried the whole time, though she wasn't Asian. Happiness maybe...
Soyoungrightnow · 36-40, M
@WatercolourWildFlowers But it’s even worse for Muslims. They get so emotional for some reason.

To display sadness over leaving their maternal home, and its pretty dumb bc many brides fake a tear so that they don’t look too happy while leaving lmao
