Does your significant other have the right to demand that you cut off all communication with someone you used to be involved with?

And do you comply? To clarify: by significant other, I do not mean spouse.

Depends if there's a reason to communicate such as kids. They don't have the right to demand it, but if you want to keep communicating knowing that makes your SO feel uncomfortable I think you need to reevaluate your relationship
