How long should a man take to propose?

Currently in a relationship, and honestly I want to marry him, he feels the same. We were joking around and I said don’t take more than a year to propose, and it got me thinking, why wait so long if you know what you want? (I’m a strong believer in the institution of marriage due to my beliefs, so that’s one of my reasons). But it’s not even that I’m trying to rush it, I just don’t think I’d like knowing who I want to be with and not being able to make it official. Thoughts?

Three months! If he's not ready financialy, and you happen to be, How about you propose? Who said it's the Man's job to do so in the first place? I know mean who broke the cycle and been married happily for years.

It’s honestly not about WHO’s proposing, just really about when we should make it “official” and take that step that we are promising to get married. I didn’t think people would take the question as such so I should of worded it differently lol! @Hayman
@Acadiaisgone makin' it official shouldn't require that much, or does it in your belief! Anyhow, Suit yourselves. Best wishes!
