When you care about someone

Do you find that you care less about that person if the caring is not reciprocated?
If the person is emotionally unavailable or just doesn’t seem to have the emotional intelligence to care about someone other than themselves - are you able to stop caring about them?
Is it all the caring just a waste of time?

@AlmostAnAngel im sure it wasnt to the oerson you cared about. At that time.....your care was needed by them and probably helped them a lot. X
