I'm gonna marry my cat and we're gonna adopt a mixture of human and feline babies and we're gonna be the best family in all of Western Europe

Faust76 · 46-50, M
Actually, while I hate invoking the so-called Loki's Wager fallacy, what's perfect? I would only marry someone who is perfect for me. In fact, it would be perfect if they weren't perfect for everybody else :p It's impossible for humans to be perfect in an universal sense, and part of any relationship (Indeed, of being human) is adapting to the reasonable quirks and peculiarities of those close to us. So it would be a *requirement* that on the whole they be perfect for me, and ideally change my perception so that the rest would be perfect too.

I'm not suggesting one should have unrealistic expectations of perfect, which you all too often see in motivational memes. A word of caution, of course: When someone is universally perfect, either they're misdirecting, or your perception is faulty (This often happens in early phases of infatuation). So I guess, technically then, I would not marry someone if I felt they were universally perfect, but in reality I probably couldn't help it ;)
no it's a bad idea because the spouse will be better at everything and take your career too
@AbdoYonis at least someone is thinking positively. 😀 Im a perfectionist and I hope to find someone like that.

No. Why? because in reality no such person exists. Secondly, a person who seems to be that way is usually a perfectionist and often tends to be highly arrogant and judgemental. Not all Perfectionists are that way but my experiences have shown me that most are. I actually prefer some one who is flawed and willing to admit/accepts it. Our shortcomings and flaws/imperfections actually give us and enhance our character as well as personality (if dealt with positively and correctly). It's what makes us HUMAN.
@indyjoe Im a perfectionist and Im not arrogant or jugmental,I think that perfection is what we see as the best it can be, it does not have to be perfect from scientific calculations, we cant tell that well but if a whole bunch of people say yea that picture is hung up level its perfect, they mean as best as humanly possible, and I consider perfect as best as humanly possible, most people think its as best as it can be and that scares people away. it seems like people who dont strive for better and say things like there is no such thing as perfection are lying around on the couch all the time. There are many perfectionists that keep this world running the way it is and without that quality things in their company would not run that well and I think perfectionism should also be valued as a good quality.

@Girlyfriendcollecting I wasn't saying that perfectionism was a bad thing, nor was I downing people who are perfectionists in general (I did say that not all perfectionists are that way). I was referring to arrogant and judgemental (as well as demanding) people who act as if they are always right and everyone else is wrong (in practically everything they say, do, or believe)...people who if you will think their sh*t doesn't stink. I apologize if you were offended at what I said. I will not take offense at you're assuming that I am one of those that don't strive for better and just lie around on the couch all the time.
yea of course, thats actually who I am looking for, but if I do not find someone like that I will go with the best option

I'd married one long who thinks she is. And used to try and be dominating, and controlling.
She'll learn eventually.

Hell no... there'd be too much narcissism present and little humbleness
Perfect? In that person's mind? No. I am not into such pain.
Faust76 · 46-50, M
Yea, but I don't think you're available.
Prisoner619 · 26-30, M
I don't want to marry ever
Sujeet · 31-35, M
I don't think anyone perfect
But I only can say one thing just love someone whom you love alot
Because if he will really love you than he will never leave make you sad or depressed
He will always be with you think about your happiness and make you always happy and make a perfect relationship
SW-User

SW-User
