Is it normal for my parents to ask me who I’ll be dating?

I’m 25 years old, still living with my parents and tomorrow I have a date with an older man that I’ve known online for three years. I’ve only mentioned him a few times to my parents but not his real age. But now my parents want me to show a picture of him and I’m afraid they might refrain me from dating him if I show them.
