Would you date a coworker? Why or why not?

I had, years ago, a may be (not so) typical experience.

We were (are) colleages and worked together for long years previous to dating.
Almost three years as coworkers.
Then we become bussines partners, a great team.
So much that people that there was a joke among common friends, colleagues and others that we were a better "couple" than most marriages.

Never untill we both got divorced (she did it earlier) but some months later, we recognized what seemed to be there since long ago.
Mutual admiration, close friendship and a never said sexual attraction.
Ours, and for two years was what you may call exclusive "bussines partners with benefits".

It worked well, we are still friends, but the first intent to rise it to another level, ended both, the relationship and the bussines team.

Does it counts as an answer?
Make this any sense?
