Should I tell him that I like him?

Okay so I'm back in love again lol. Well not in love but i have a big crush on someone who I've been friends with for about a year now. We started hanging out a lot about a half a year ago because he told his friend he had a crush on me, who told me that. So we were together like every other day for like 2 months, then we finally kissed and after that he ended up saying he had an on and off girlfriend so he deleted me on everything and i was like okay.... hope everything works out. FAST FOWARD to a month ago, we started hanging again because of mutual friends. THEN he texted his friend and told him he wants me again and that "he wants to date me and get to know me" so of course I fell for it and we had a thing up until a week ago. Now he just doesn't talk to me really and I'm left here with a crush on him and i don't know if i should text him and tell him about how much i like him??? i keep thinking about him. and after reading this i just feel dumb because i guess he was just playing me but he's really not that type, he's so sweet and shy and i don't know. SHOULD I TEXT HIM OR JUST LEAVE IT BE?!!?
