One about does it, though respecting that no isn’t exactly giving up

@GlitterBug In what aspect?

Well since this is in dating and relationships, I’ll use sex as an example. If my fiancé tells me no, I respect that and will not push on it until he changes his mind. But I know at some point he will decide we can, when he’s ready. It’s sort of like putting a pin in it rather than just giving up entirely.
There’s other things too, like maybe my parents say no to something I ask them for. Well, my parents can be persuaded. 9/10 times I can come back later with a thought out reason why they should give me this thing, what I’ll do with this thing etc. and they’ll give it to me. If they say no after that then I let it go, giving up sort of implies defeat in my mind. Being told doesn’t have to feel like defeat, there’s reasons people say no. I don’t really consider accepting those reasons-known or not- as giving up, I guess. @Casheyane
