Meeting people in person online

After my break up from an 18 year relationship. I Was wondering, how many people on here have actually met someone from here? Or any other site like this? Anyone found there true love? Wondered how successful online dating is or is it best to just stick to chatting online?

I've met with one person and it was absolutely wonderful. Sadly it was too hard to go back to long distance forever after that and we couldn't afford to meet more often.

But if you find someone reasonably close, I believe this site works better than any site dedicated to dating because the profiles are so extensive and the primary goal isn't to make oneself look perfect, but to find support for what matters the most to them.
