Im Jaded

Her smile stopped my notion of time. In those chestnut eyes I naively planned out a future. Her laughter became needle and thread, becoming the stitching of this once torn heart. New life was softly breath into me with delicate whispers of her laughter. Her mere presenece so radiant, as if a light house beckoning this shipwreck, that has been tossed on whitecaps and swells, back to the safety of the shore. My eyes settling from stormy gray back to oceans of green. The thought of her touch setting me on fire, the taste of her tongue, wanting my mouth to caress every curve and bend of her body. These once retired arms, ready to embrace and protect her delicateness. Feeling her breath on my chest as she sleep. For one sweet moment, rebirth. A glimpse of the man I once was, the dreamer, the poet. Then overwhelming fear flows over me. Yet again, Im reminded of how jaded I am.
