They are not in love or anything but they agreed to keep the baby and she had told him she would introduce him to her family today. She called him earlier today and he said he was on his way and it's now 10pm but he still hasn't shown up. My assumptions are that he's out spending money on alcohol instead of saving up for the baby[/c][/b]

She didn't "accidentally" get pregnant is my guess. One takes precautions or they don't. These are the consequences.

He may well have an issue with alcohol, he may be immature, he may be ducking his responsibilities. The only thing your friend can do is conduct herself in a way that's best for the baby. That means being healthy, seeing a doctor, looking into child support and an emotional/economic safety net.
