But seriously... just remember they're people too. They have fears and insecurities just like you. And remember it's okay for them to say no, not the end of the world at all. You're not weird for liking someone, as long as you're respectful and kind.
If it helps, try first asking someone you're otherwise not likely to see again, to maybe minimize the likelihood of embarrassment?

Well, most people find it odd to be asked out, out of the blue so it's better to start simple and just get to know them. But even that's pretty broad, sometimes, just saying good morning/afternoon can even help 0~0 but I'm probably not much help, so sorry.
