Maybe to remind you that love with passion is still possible? I was in a bit of a sexless marriage once - turns out he was gay - that explains things. I have a good friend who is in one. I can't quite understand it though. Even though I suffer from mental illness, I can't imagine not being physical if I were married. It's part of the deal. Maybe she is back to snap you into action; whether that be to make a change in the marriage - line in the sand, or some sort of acceptance? I wish you the best of luck.

@abooklover hmm. The toughest part is that I don’t think I will ever know

@Slappaho Then acceptance it is. You need to ask yourself some tough questions. You're fairly young. Do you see yourself in 20 years still here in a sexless marriage?
I speak from hardcore experience. I let "the one" get away 31 years ago. I reconnected with him within the last year and saw him a couple months ago. Whether people come back to help us get closure or force change, I believe there's a reason. Is this really the life you want? Often, just because we love someone, it doesn't mean we're meant to be with them. Life rarely gives us second chances.
