It's probably not that easy when you love someone. Of course you want it to stop and protect your kids that's a given, but I would think you'd want to do what it takes to keep the kids safe AND get your spouse the help they desperately need. I imagine I'd want to give her the chance to seriously get help and change her behaviors before resorting to divorce. But mind you, with something so serious...one chance and one chance only.
