Like any relationships there are pros and cons... Dating an older woman can, be good coz she would likely have more experience (some women). older women are more settled, with finances, work, and what they want or are going in life., she would most likely be secure with in herself not being too needy or clingy and would probably have a broader understanding of situations. The down side might be, she has kids and you will play second to them and they might not like you if she introduces you to them. She could be controlling, possessive, and doesn't want to do things with you that you want to do coz she's been there done that kind of situation.she could mother you. those might be the things that are obvious..but ultimately it depends on what you want in the woman you want to date. I dated a 60 year old man man when I was 22 yrs old, I adored him because I was attracted to his intelligence, the sex was ok, but i couldn't have sex with him to many times he didn't want it too often, he was active but had limits, but why it didn't work out was the age gap was a big problem for him and he didn't want me to introduce him to my friends or family coz he knew I guess how hey would react . With someone older you just have to make things clear, no assumptions, no guessing games they hate that most..You need to be firm what you want...best wishes

What do you mean by “fair”? Fair to whom in what way? What do you mean by “work”?
If you have two consenting adults who are being honest with each other about what they are looking for, it is fair. If they are both looking for friends with benefits, that is certainly possible across an age gap. If one person is hoping for undying love and the other is hoping only for a good roll in the hay, there will be a problem.

@Poppies Well said.

@PhoenixPhail after I wrote that, I thought, what if a person is looking for love, thinks they might be in love, but is afraid the age gap will keep it from lasting? Now that is harder. The age gap could be a problem, but not always.

@Poppies I think your points are well taken.
It takes both people to make true being in love happen. I think if being in love is dependent upon being close in age rather than being in the present with someone, it may not be true being in love to start with.

Why would it not be ok ?
Might consider this aspect,
Might be older but that means she has more experience.
Hell you will most likely learn something.

Depends on how you handle her

Fair ? If you’re both consenting adults, and clear about what you want it to mean, there shouldn’t be any problems.

I don't see why that wouldn't work. Give it a try.
