It never bothered me to tell my wife about my entire past history (though there wasn't a whole lot of it to tell...it was a bit "colorful" though). She too has told me all about hers as well. It's just something we wanted each other to know because we wanted no secrets between us. We didn't go into extreme details but she knows who I was interested in, who I dated, who I had sex with, and various things that went wrong. I know the same things about her past love life too...that way there are no "surprises" down the road.😉

I'm never offended by that. Everyone comes with baggage, and trying to hide it seems dumb: better to talk openly about what you've been through, so they understand you better.

I believe partners should not be hiding anything from each other. Some people, however, are reluctant to talk about their history. There is no right or wrong about this, as some may feel that sharing would be a violation of trust.
