Do you still love someone you’re not with (dating or married to) anymore?

She was the first person I ever truly loved. We went through a lot together. And for a while made it through ... I held this perfect image of her in my head for so long. Always hoping to end up back with her. Then I met her again, we got close ... and all of the things that weren’t so perfect suddenly resurfaced. All of the things we grew to dislike about one another were still there. She had become colder. And I wasn’t so susceptible to her tricks. The love faded, yet I still hold her dearly in my mind. It is just ingrained in me now
