I was chatting with this guy at the store and thought about flirting, but the little 'voice on my shoulder' told me not to ask, for fear of being a turn off. He was cute and built nice.

I think it would be a confidence builder even if he didn't want to give the number. The guys that go out with a lot of women ask for numbers all the time.
