Are there men who really WILL fight for love?

And I mean if there’s an obvious connection, maybe you’ve been together for a while and things are shaky...or, maybe you see the potential and know she’s been hurt so there are walls up?

For me, I’ve always been the one to fight for it. With my ex husband, I tried for so many years. Talked to him about it, went to marriage therapy, gave romance, etc... but he never tried to fight for it with me. With an ex boyfriend it was the same thing. These are just my experiences so I’m genuinely curious...

Are there men that would reciprocate? Or be persistent enough not to give up so easily?

I dunno...I’ve been the one to fight in the past and I’ve definitely wanted to be worth fighting for but I’m starting to feel like if it needs fighting for maybe it’s not the right thing.

@summersong I agree, love is not something you should have to fight for. Nor should it be taken for granted. It requires some attention and work to keep it really good. It should be nurtured and relatively easy. If not then I would question whether or not it is a good fit.
