Tell me, why are people so interested in the royal wedding?

I don’t know if it’s because I’m American or because I’m generally uncultured, but I really don’t get what the big deal is.

This morning, as they do EVERY morning, on the news...they went on and on and on about it...I was SO annoyed! I was wondering if there is something wrong with ME because I find the subject so god damn tedious!!!
